He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Shepherd and Mary "Aline" Shepherd (Lambert); his son Robert "Rocky" Shepherd; his grandchildren, Melinda Shepherd and Michael Shepherd; and his siblings, Samuel Shepherd and Adele Napper.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Todd Shepherd, Jerry Shepherd, Greg Shepherd (Candace), Shelly Griffin (Les), Tonya Shepherd and Kerri Hayes (Steven); his grandchildren, Tara Shepherd, Christopher Murphy, Kaitlyn Griffin, Christina Johnston, James Griffin of Carlos, Hernandez, Jamie Whitworth, Samantha Matney, Hannah Shepherd, Kourtne Griffin, Tyler Griffin, Jaylynn Osborne, Landon Hayes, Kyrstynn Osborne, Kyleigh Hayes and Raelynn Shepherd; and his siblings, Janice Shepherd-Pannell, Joann Bingham, Vernice Franks and Danny Shepherd (Patricia). He is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
