He is survived by: his wife Tricia Kovacs; his daughter Janie DeWoody (Jake); his granddaughters, Bryn-Elizabeth, Ellowyn-Jean and Paisley-Jane; his son Joel Kovacs (Rachel); and his grandson Shiloh Stephen Kovacs.
The family requests no flowers be given, but instead donations to the D Dream Foundation be made.
