With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Florence Delaney of Saint Pete Beach, Florida, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Florence left this world on December 3, 2025 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Florence may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Cannon and Florence Cannon; her husband James Joseph Delaney II; and her son Patrick. She is survived by: her children, Maureen Carpenter, James Joseph Delaney III, Colleen Colandene and Kathleen Sullivan. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, extended family, and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Blessed Trinity Catholic Church (1600 54th Ave S, St. Petersburg, FL 33705). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at the Quantico National Cemetery.
