He is survived by: his siblings, Dennis McDowell and Margaret "Peg" Chase; his children, Jeff, Dan McDowell and Kris Hey; his children-in-law, Katie McDowell, Tammy McDowell and Don Hey; and his grandchildren, Megan McDowell VandenBerg, Michael McDowell, Sarah McDowell, Drew McDowell, Kaitlyn Huddleston, Emily McDowell and Adam Hey.
