He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Peter Matty and Catherine Hroblak Matty Grago; and his siblings, Nancy Lee McGuire, Timothy T. Matty and Bernard Greg Matty.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Capozzoli Matty; his daughters, Lisa Kristine Matty of Winter Springs and Diana Matty Purutcuoglu (Bora) of Longwood, Florida; his sisters, Joanne Koynock (Joseph) of Mentor, Ohio and Kathleen Childs (Bruce) of Mentor, Ohio; and his grandchildren, Evan Paul Purutcuoglu and Laine Daphne Purutcuoglu. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
