He is survived by: his children, Angela Walton (Jeremy), Alexandra Perkins (Coston) and Christopher Freeman; his grandchildren, Savannah Walton, Jackson Walton, Harper Grace Walton, Thomas Harper Walton, Hannah Walton and Hannelore Perkins; and his sister Joan Kelly.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to The Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations at The University of Alabama.
