He was predeceased by: his brother Don Bushey (late Jean). He is survived by: his sister Ellyn; his nieces, Cynthia Drummond and Deborah Smith (Kendall); his great-nephews, David and Nicholas; his great-niece Kristen; his nieces and nephews, Pete Bushey (Susan), Martie Wartalski (Steve), David Bushey and Barbara Bushey; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Matthew, James, Tina, Rusty, Carie, Alisha and Bridget.
Beginning in 1993, he served on the Board of Directors of the British Schools and Universities Foundation, holding several leadership roles over the years, including Honorary Secretary, Director of Scholar Relations, President, and Chairman. Scott was also a member of the Board of Trustees of The Caledonian Foundation USA, a member of the Sarasota Yacht Club, and a Sarasota Opera Co-Producer.
