Barbara leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Barbara’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Barbara will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Dunnett Gibson and May Bess Gibson (Huberich); her brother Alexander "Sandy" Gibson; and her former husband Dr. Roy W. Roth. She is survived by: her husband Dr. John Franklin Donaldson; and her children, Allen (Kim), Doug (Carrie) and Margot Bennett (Bruce). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 2:30 PM and on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM. Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Sunnyside Village Chapel (5201 Bahia Vista St, Sarasota, FL 34232).
