David B. Childers Obituary

It is with sadness that the passing of David B. Childers (Sarasota, Florida) is shared. David, born on February 2, 1954, passed away on July 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

David will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor David by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though David is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. David’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.

He was predeceased by: his son Billy Gene Childers. He is survived by: his wife Java Sue; his daughters, Sandra Taylor of San Antonio, Stacey McGuire of San Antonio, Sherry Beverly (Billy) of Dade City and Cyndi Shaffer (John) of Lakeland; and his sister-in-law Debra McDonald of Dade City. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
