He was predeceased by: his daughter Sara Laux Murphy (Paul); his parents, David Laux Sr. and Evelyn Moulton Laux; his siblings, Joan Hogan and Jerry Laux; his son-in-law Alan Eugley; his great grandchild Mabel Sommers; and his former wife Linda Bowden Laux.
He is survived by: his wife Elna Laux; his daughters, Emily Laux and Cynthia Laux Kreidler (Jim Kreidler); his son-in-law Paul Murphy; his stepchildren, Michael Loflin, Dale Loflin (Debby), Byron Loflin (Anne), Steven Loflin and Kathy Loflin Sanders (John); his grandchildren, Madeleine Roche, John David Roche, Natalie Murphy, Alexander Kreidler, Isabelle Kreidler and Nicholas Kreidler; his stepgrandchildren, Brendan Loflin (Lea), Jonathan Loflin, Theresa Pippen (Stephen), Bradley Loflin (Georgia), Amanda Loflin, Megan Loflin Sommers (Joe), Michael R. Loflin (Amanda), Katherine Loflin, Tucker Loflin, Jack Sanders, Steven Loflin Jr. and Jessica Pigg (Max); and his brothers, Dean Laux (Miryam) and Michael Laux (Marisol). He is also survived by 12 step great grandchildren.
