She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Bruce and Maggie Bruce of Chattanooga; and her siblings, William Wilbanks, Joseph Bruce, Ed Bruce, Mary Oliver, Myra Beagles, Harry Bruce, Betty Jo Bruce and Bill Bruce.
She is survived by: her husband Gilbert Carpenter; her daughters, Sheri Gallagher, Sandra Stafford and Susan Azadian (Andrew); her grandchildren, Jon Sullivan, Heather Butler, David Gallagher (Amanda), Travis Stafford, Justin Stafford (Emily), Sarah Venters (Casey) and Stephanie McQueen-Arthur (Scott); Michael, Dory McQueen, Steven, Mary Pat Stafford, Nancy Boystak and Jasmin Gallagher. She is also survived by three step- grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
