With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Lorraine Brown of Sarasota, Florida, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on March 25, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her significant other Thomas L. Brown; her parents, Edgar Leonard and Mildred Leonard; and her son-in-law Larry Awbrey. She is survived by: her husband Sarasota; her daughters, Deborah, Linda Awbrey (Deborah) of Gainesville, FL. and Thomas; her brother Charles Leonard (Helen); her grandchildren, Ashley, Alexandra, Sean and Natalie; and her extended family Doris. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren; three nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, in memory of Doris L. Brown, to the Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation, 1515 South Osprey Avenue, Suite B-4, Sarasota, FL 34239, or St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Our Spirit Soars Building Fund.
