He was predeceased by: his parents, Alka Stacy Payne (Pat Payne) and William Payne; and his siblings, Ilene Lawson, Virginia Kobart, Billy Joe Payne and Jeff Payne.
He is survived by: his children, Ed Payne (Johanna), Deirdre Cote (Edward), Billy Payne (Tami) and Tina Swartz (Mike); his siblings, James Payne, Ralph Payne and Beulah Skeens; and his grandchildren, Ashley Elizabeth Cote, Taylor Swartz, Trevor Payne, Joshua Cote, MacKenzie Payne Lautenschlager, Shelby Swartz Nold and Jakey Poo Swartz.
