He was predeceased by: his parents, William Joseph Doran, Sr. and Mable M. Doran; his brother Bill; and his nephew Billy. He is survived by: his wife Virginia; his children, Jennifer Fontana (Michael), Christopher Doran (Nelly), Margaret "Meg" Pack (Tracy) and Patrick Doran (Tracy); his grandchildren, Nicholas Fontana, Julia Fontana, Madison Pack, Tanner Pack, Nathanael Doran and Liam Doran; and his niece Laura Nixon (Martin).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Tidewell Hospice Sarasota.
