She was predeceased by: her parents, Maximillian Bernatek and Hedel Bernatek (Fiegler); and her spouse Juluan Czekaj. She is survived by: her children, Anna Czekaj-Iturrey, Andrew Czekaj (Marget Banks Czekaj), Mary Czekaj-Wilusz (Richard) and Karolina Czekaj Trevena (David Trevena). She is also survived by Oma, as she became known to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, is remembered by her warm smiles.
