With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jane G. Rekstad of Sarasota, Florida, born in Rochester, New York, who passed away on June 23, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Gesell and Helen Gesell (Thiem); and her husband Ingvald Rekstad (Red). She is survived by: her children, Carol Decker (Philip) of Sarasota, Florida and Stephen Rekstad (Rhonda) of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; her grandchildren, Hans and Britta Rekstad of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; her cousin Ellen Horn of Rochester; and her sister-in-law Iley Petereit (Frank) of Sioux Falls. She is also survived by cousins, and many nieces and nephews.
