He was predeceased by: his parents, Teng Kuan Shih and Yun Shan Hu. He is survived by: his wife Jean; his children, John (Nina DiPietro Shih) and Janet Shih Hajek (Luke Hajek); his grandchildren, Natalie Shih, Ryan Hajek and Trevor Hajek; and his brother Sydney (Jian Zhong Shih).
