We are sad to announce that on August 26, 2025 we had to say goodbye to John H. Canaday in Sarasota, Florida. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Angela Canaday and Henry Canaday; his brother Robert Canaday (Bob); his sister-in-law Rosemary Canaday; his nephew Rob Canaday; and his daughter-in-law Cathy Canaday.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean; his pet Jojo; and his children, Glenn Canaday, Dale Canaday (Rebecca), Chet Merritt (Lynne), Charlotte Merritt and Jeanie Gassman (Randy). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in John's honor to the Baldomero Lopez State Veterans Nursing Home for families without support.
