John Didymus Hurst Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Didymus Hurst of Sarasota, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 26, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, John Didymus shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid John Didymus farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughter Patricia Adelstein (Hurst); his son-in-law Jay David Adelstein; his granddaughters, Rose and Lillian Adelstein; his wife Ann Burgin Hurst; and his parents, Mamye Hurst (Driskell) and Walter Hurst. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
