He was predeceased by: his parents, Elgie Somers and Alma Somers; and his sisters, Dorothy Fruchey and Charlotte Csapos. He is survived by: his wife Mildred; his children, Kathy (Jeff), John Jr., Chris (Les) and Tracy (Brett); his grandchildren, Scott (Yustina), Lauren (Joe), Andrew and Ethan; his great grandchildren, Dielo, Adriel, Greta, Declan, Graham and Andrew Jr.; and his friend Charles McNeal.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church (833 Magellan Dr, Sarasota, FL 34243).
In lieu of flowers, contributions in John's memory may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or to the charity of your choice.
