John Walter Reeder M.D. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Walter Reeder M. D. in Sarasota, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 5, 2025 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John Walter Reeder M. D. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Oscar Samuel and Dorothy Speissegger Reeder; his son Robert Keith Reeder; and his sister Virginia Lee Reeder. He is survived by: his wife Meredith "Susie" Parsons Reeder; his children, Penelope Gail Obrecht, Jennifer Lee Reeder and John Walter Reeder, Jr. (Deborah); his stepsons, Charles Benjamin Wheeler (Noreen), David Barton Wheeler (Allison) and K. Andrew Wheeler (Dianne); his grandsons, Zachary, Samuel, Wesley Reeder, Charles, Thomas, Jack, Curt and Nils Wheeler; his great grandchildren, Odin Reeder and Thomas Padgett-Wheeler; and his sister Jane Reeder. He is also survived by niece and four nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Church of the Redeemer (222 S Palm Ave, Sarasota, FL 34236).
