He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Freiman and Bessie Freiman; and his brothers, Bernie Freiman (Mignon), Paul Freiman and Sammy Freiman.

He is survived by: his wife Rita; his daughters, Sandy Schapiro (Howard) and Helene Freiman (Gordon Berne); his grandchildren, Mike Schapiro, Ben Schapiro (Valentina), Ian Carlisle (Eimile), Leah Carlisle and Jared Carlisle; his great grandchild Jacob Schapiro; his brother Sonny Freiman (Rhona); his sister-in-law Phyllis Freiman; and his former spouse Sandy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
