We are sad to announce that on September 4, 2025, at the age of 89, Lela C Carlton of Sarasota, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Lela may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mabel Jewel Cribbs and Gordon "Buck" Cribbs; her siblings, Pauline Duty, Bettie LaJoie and Ernest Cribbs; and her granddaughter Kiera Elise Guertin.
She is survived by: her husband Anthony G. "Tony" Carlton; her children, Lisa Ann Carlton Guertin (Brian) of Lakeland, FL and Steven G. Carlton (Stacey) of Deland, FL; and her granddaughter Kaitlyn Eileen Guertin of Fort Collins, CO..
