He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Thomas and Edith Thomas (Hedlund); and his son Travis Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Melinda Thomas (Marky); his children, Sheryl Thomas, Brett Thomas (Erline) and Katy Thomas (Joe); and his grandchildren, Anthony and Sarah Jane.
