He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Plotkin and Masha Plotkin; his former wife Betty; and his brothers, Morrie and David Plotkin.

He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Paul Plotkin (Jan) of Los Angeles and Pamela Plotkin of Newport, California; his grandchildren, Shelby Schulte (Tom) and Courie Plotkin Weiss (Jeromy); and his great grandchildren, Lilah, Indiana and Ridley.

In honor of his parents, he founded the Peter & Masha Plotkin Memorial Foundation in Orange County California which serves as an art museum and meeting place for other non-profit organizations as well as for the promotion and education of art.
