With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita F Zuerner of Sarasota, Florida, who passed away on March 14, 2026 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Rita may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Rita touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gustave Poirier and Alice Poirer Rita (B. S.); her sisters, Theresa and Cecile; and her husbands, Horace L Roberts, Thomas Decillis, Robert Baron and Bryan Zuerner. She is also survived by spouses, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Burial of ashes to follow the Mass. The family requests no flowers. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
