He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Tolsma and Evelyn Tolsma; his sister Carol Keiper; and his pets, Buttons and Buster.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Lee Tolsma; his daughters, Kimberly Koegel (Robert) and Debra Tolsma; his granddaughters, Taylor Ann Koegel and Alexandra Kathleen Koegel; and his pet Tramp. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, family and friends.
