It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roy Travis Barnes (Sarasota, Florida), born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on August 16, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruie Barnes and Beatrice Ray Barnes; his brothers, Pete and Marvin Barnes; and his granddaughter Kori Coles.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Barnes (Adamson); his daughter Carrie Barnes; his granddaughters, Holly Rhyne and Haley Coles; his great grandchildren, Rayleigh Braun and Maverick Rhyne; and his sister Betty Gardner. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
