She was predeceased by: her parents, William Herrman and Elsie Herrman (Frueh); her siblings, William Jr. and Betty (Bruce); and her nieces, Sally and Nancy.

She is survived by: her sister Martha; and her nephews, Randy (Christy) and Kurt.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's honor to First Congregational United Church of Christ, Sarasota, FL and St. John's United Church of Christ, Grand Rapids, MI.
