She was predeceased by: her husbands, Lewis Dowden and John P. Babbitt; her mother Verna Wekerle; her brother Monty Alberts; and her daughter Kristie Rhodes.

She is survived by: her adoptive daughter Lori Stemich; her grandsons, Joseph and Michael Dowden; and her siblings, Ronald Alberts (Barb), Mary Alberts (Jim), John Alberts (LeAnne), Jim Alberts (Judy), Tanya DeWitt (Dave), Darcy McLaughlin (Chris) and LeMay Gilroy. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
