We announce the death of William Ralph Sams Jr. of Sarasota, Florida, who passed away on July 6, 2026, at the age of 77. William will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. William’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Pritchett Sams and Captain William Ralph Sams Sr.; and his sister Robin Sams. He is survived by: his wife Judy Sams; his daughter Jennifer Sams Scott (Matthew Scott); his siblings, Carol Barrett (Richard Barrett) and Scott Sams; and his nephew Michael Barrett. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Ralph's memory.
