He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Cothron and Iola Cooper Cothron; and his brother Frankie "Cotton" Cothron. He is survived by: his son Tony Cothron; his grandsons, Michael (Jacey Cothron) and Zachary Cothron; his sisters, Faye Blackwelder, Patsy Stacy, Cora "Bug" Blackwelder and Robbie Kelley; and his close friend Colleen DeSantis.
