We are sad to announce that on June 12, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Gary William Mislick of Sebastian, Florida. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Mislick and Phebe Mislick (Sheffield); his stepmother Shirley Mislick (Sheffield); his brother Jeffrey Mislick; and his pet Koty.

He is survived by: his wife Georgia "Jody" Mislick (Frutchey); his siblings, Judith and Randolph (Kelley); his children, Gary Walter, Curt (Jennifer Grannata) and Virginia "Ginny" King (Tim); and his grandson Carson.

In lieu of flowers, Gary would have appreciated donations made to any of the following: Deep River Fire Dept., Old Lyme Ambulance Assoc. or Valley Shore Animal Welfare League.

“Gary & I attended VRHS at the same time when 7th and 8th graders were part of the school. He had a profound effect on me. We were sitting by a stream in Centerbrook, where I lived, one sunny day. My hands caught his attention and he remarked how disgusting my fingernails looked. I had bitten them for as long as I could remember, no matter how hard my family tried to break me of the habit.
