He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Powell and Clara Powell (Cox); his wife Hilda Wall; his siblings, Darrell Powell and Peggy Washam; his siblings-in-law, Gordon Dennings, Knolon Wall, Aurilla Dennings and Joyetta Wall; and his nieces, Teri Powell and Sonya Wall.
He is survived by: his children, Shearon Pontious (Diane), Deborah Powell, Linda McCarthy and Michael Powell; and his grandchildren, Jon, Paul, Chadd Bradberry and Dawn Pontious. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, cousins and loving friends.
