She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Cowart and Verdia Royal Cowart; her daughter Lisa Merrick; her sister Gerry Lowe; her former husband Noah Fountain, Jr.; and the father of her children Noah Fountain, Jr..
She is survived by: her husband Chaplain J. Cecil Kent; her children, Noah Fountain (Kathleen) and Carla Lutz (Adam); her stepdaughters, Stephanie Ellis and Tanya Fagan (Craig); and her grandchildren, Bryony Wilbur (Glenn), James Fountain (Lauren), Thomas Fountain (Deana), Adam Fountain, Jonathan Fountain, Mandalay Pruitt, Emma Timberlake (Chase) and Jonathan Fagan. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in her honor to Good Shepherd Hospice, 1110 Hammock Rd, Sebring, FL 33870.
