He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Bara and Anna Volenick Bara. He is survived by: his children, Deborah Bara of Langhorne, Pennsylvania, Kimberly Bara of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Lisa Bara of Philadelphia and David Bara II (Katie) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.; his close friend Abbie; and his grandchildren, Taylor Bara, Robert Bara, Gina Stampone (Peter), Michael Joniec (Cassidy), Michaela, Ava Marie Bara, Louis Galdo, Anthony Galdo Brandon Galdo (Rebecca), Macy Kennedy, David Bara III, Colin Bara, Juliette Bara, Luca and Kennedy.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Sarasota National Cemetery (9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241).
