It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Dawes of Sebring, Florida, born in Valley Stream, New York, who passed away on June 14, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Ellwitz and Adele Ellwitz; her husband James C. Dawes; her sister Janet Spencer; and her nephew Paul Giuffrida.

She is survived by: her children, Lori Yarbrough (Ed), Mike Dawes (Eva) of Sebring, FL and Tom "Tippy" Dawes (Shelley) of Sebring, FL; and her grandchildren, James Dawes (Amber), Paul Dawes, Tyler Dawes and Gabi Dawes.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Christ Fellowship Church or Good Shepherd Hospice Sebring.
