He was predeceased by: his sister Ursula Dence; his brother-in-law Calvin Dence; and his grandson-in-law Daniel Covert. He is survived by: his wife Madeline Thurnheer; his sisters, Denise Wisseman (Leo) and Ruth Riedlinger (David); his children, Karen Thurnheer, Daniel Thurnheer (Veronica), Andrew Thurnheer and Kitty Hall-Thurnheer (John); his grandchildren, Shelly Covert, Branden Bacharach (Mindy) and Stacey Becker (Amy); his great grandchildren, Vanessa Covert, Valerie Knight (Thomas), Ethan Covert and Samuel Becker; and his great great grandchildren, Lillyanne Bacharach and Logan Knight.

A year ago when Parkinson's took away Daddy's ability to walk, they moved permanently to Sebring.
