She was predeceased by: her parents, James McKenna and Antionette Petrone McKenna; and her son Hyatt Mays. She is survived by: her brother Barry McKenna; her nieces and nephews, Melissa McKenna (Mykal), Kristen Manaresi (Evan), Jason McKenna (Jess) and Matthew McKenna (Erica); and her aunt Rona McKenna.
The family suggests that donations can be made in her memory to the Center for Great Apes in Wauchula, FL, the Democratic Women's Club of Florida, or Bok Tower Gardens in Lake Wales, FL.
