It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Holmes of Sebring, Florida, who passed away on April 20, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Holmes and Elizabeth Holmes; his in-laws, Wayne and Marian Van Auken; his siblings, John Holmes and Pam Warner; his son-in-law Jody Tyner; and his sister-in-law Donna Dangler.
He is survived by: his wife Wainetta Van Auken; his children, Heidi Tyner and Scott Holmes; his grandchildren, Nicole Merda, Joseph Tyner and Andrew Tyner; his great grandchild Ryder King; his siblings, Barbara Schneider (Fran), Gerry Bender, Sandy Kent (Herm), David Holmes (Kathy), Kathy Herman (Paul) and Chris Hammock (Tim); and his brother-in-law Danny Van Auken (Carol).
