It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vilma Ameglio Lopez Washburn of Sebring, Florida, who passed away on September 8, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her brother Juan Ameglio; and her parents, Juan Antonio Ameglio Zambrano and Margarita Elena Lopez of Leon. She is survived by: her children, Marguerite Ellen Gourley (Jeffrey), Roy Dayton Haley (Kathy) and John Antonio Haley (Tina); her grandchildren, Gabrielle McAnally, Christina Carrington, Lisa Baker, Drew Haley, Gina Pike, Nick, Cole and Johna Haley; and her husband Winston Washburn.
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Catherine Catholic Church (820 Hickory St, Sebring, FL 33870). A burial was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at the Lakeview Memorial Gardens (854 S Memorial Dr, Avon Park, FL 33825).
