He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Smalley and Minnie Smalley (Sands); his daughter Lori Miller; and his brother Gerald Smalley. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Smalley of Sebring, Florida; his son Chris (Tessa Smalley); his son-in-law Doug Miller of Mentone; his grandchildren, Adrienne Smalley, Shane Smalley and Justin Miller; his stepgrandson Mitch McCarty; and his sister Linda (Mitch Tucker) of Claypool. He is also survived by 3 Great Grandchildren.
