With sadness, we share the passing of David Raymond Schanz in Seffner, Florida. David, born on April 1, 1935, passed away on October 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Schanz and Ada Schanz; his wife LuAnn Schanz; and his siblings, Mildred Docweiller, Donna Robart, Evelyn Gorby, Dorothy Schanz, Marion Schanz and Bob Schanz.
He is survived by: his siblings, Joe Schanz, Eleanor Kolhoff, Edna Hatfield, Dan Schanz and Carl Schanz; his daughters, Sherry Moyer (Alan), Penny Baker and Nanci Durnford (Joe); his granddaughters, Stephanie Mortellaro (Matt) and Emily Pickles (David); his great grandchildren, Kylie, Bella and Levi Mortellaro; his grandchildren, Lauren Moyer and Nathan Moyer; and his great grandchildren, Alex Mortellaro and Theo Mortellaro.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Landmark Baptist Church (6021 Williams Rd, Seffner, FL 33584). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Funeral Home & Crematory (6919 Providence Rd, Riverview, FL 33578).
