He was predeceased by: his children, Donna Owens and Kenny Owens; his parents, Carrie Tanner Mingo and Harry James Mingo Sr.; and his sisters, Joyce Prevatt and Judy Gunn.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Mingo; his children, Tina Jernigan (Jeff) and Anthony Mingo; his grandchildren, Kimberly Diamond, Missy Ellis, Steve "Stevie" Diamond (Haley), Kaci Chason (Brady), Jeffrey "Bo" Jernigan Jr. (Ashley) and James "Dylan" Jernigan (Taylor); his great grandchildren, Makayla (Deion), Jasmine, Kami, Tristin, Shelbie, Delaney, Kylee, Olivia, Aria, Bailee, Hailee, Alliee, Braxton, Paisley, Jase, Navy, Rylan, Jayde and Teddy; and his great great grandchildren, Madelynn, Landyn, Nami and Rosie.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Serenity Meadows Funeral Home (6919 Providence Rd, Riverview, FL 33578). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Orange Hill Cemetery (4900 E Chelsea St, Tampa, FL 33610).
