Don Mahoney wrote a sympathy message

“Dear Peggy and Family, I am sorry to hear of Ed's passing. For many years I sat either in front or in back of you, Ed and the boys and watched all of them, mature . (even Ed) How proud you were of your family, and justifiably so. I always knew when you and Ed arrived for Mass. Especially on Sundays when the Steelers were playing. Never a Sunday went by when he didn't have a kiind word., a jab in the back or some witty remark. I have missed that, lately. Peace to all of you”
