He was predeceased by: his parents, Laura Collom and Donald Hassell. He is survived by: his wife Carole Ann Hills; his children, Kristen (Patrick White) of Atlanta, GA and Colin (Sophia Coleman); his grandson Jack of Seattle, WA; and his sister Louise (John Fedorczyk) of Sherrill's Ford, NC..
