With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Georgette Williams Gilley (Sneads, Florida), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 16, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Annie Williams and Bartow Williams; her husband James Gilley; her siblings, T. E. "Preacher" Williams (Hazel), Chester Williams, Ben McMillon and Susie McMillon Peacock; and her siblings-in-law, Eugene Gilley, Jessie Lee Tyus and Shelby Grimsley.
She is survived by: her sister Dorothy Williams McMillan of Sneads, Florida; her daughter Sharon (Alan Pevy) of Sneads, Florida; her granddaughters, Liz (Cody Cunningham) of Sneads and Georgia Pevy of Washington, D. C.; her great grandchild James William "Billy" Cunningham of Sneads, Florida; her siblings-in-law, Ralph (Dianne Hobbs) of Grand Ridge, Florida and Shirley Hartley of Cairo, Georgia; and her friend Larry Mitchell of Sneads, Florida.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Salem Wesleyan Church Building Fund.
