He was predeceased by: his parents, George Avriett and Catherine Avriett; his wife Laura Edwards Avriett; and his siblings, Eloise Shadrick, Shirley Black and Charles Avriett.
He is survived by: his children, Pam Cain (Jimmy) and Rodger W. "Bubba" Avriett Jr. (Crystal); his granddaughters, Emily Goodwin (Zach), Amber Basford (Parker), Christine Cain (Christian), Kaylee Smith (Levi) and Autumn Applewhite (Cole); his great grandchildren, Brett, Charlie Goodwin, Paxton, Paisley Basford, Gunnar, Lainey King, Nate Applewhite and Corbin Smith; his brother-in-law Bobby Black; and his pet Abby. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the McAlpin Funeral Home (8261 US-90, Sneads, FL 32460). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McAlpin Cemetery (600 Hardaway Hwy, Chattahoochee, FL 32324).
