She was predeceased by: her parents, Ramon Medina and Rosa Medina (Melendez); her husband Mario Ruiz; her daughter Migdalia Ruiz; and her siblings, Ferdinand "Freddy" Medina, Radamas "Jonny" Medina, Nitza Cancel and Evie Medina.
She is survived by: her children, Ivette Ruiz (Carlos Montes) of Orlando, Maritza Concepcion (Albert) of Staten Island, NY and Mario Ruiz (Maria) of Staten Island, NY; her grandchildren, Dalia Ivette Wright, Jessie Vega-Torres, Magdiel Vega, Javier Vega, Omar Quinones, Melinda Perdomo, Sheritza Montes, Dave Montes, Johnathan Ruiz, Hector Silva, Natalie Ruiz and Christian Silva; and her sisters, Doralia Rosado and Idany Rodriguez. She is also survived by twenty-three great-grandchildren; eight great great-grandchildren.
