She was predeceased by: her parents, Babette (Curtis Adair) and Terry (Stella Kavanaugh); her brother Kevin Kavanaugh; and her mother-in-law Gertrude Smith. She is survived by: her husband Edward Smith; her daughter Ashley Bunn; and her son-in-law Heath Bunn.
In lieu of flowers or other gestures, the family encourages friends and loved ones to plant a tree, flowers, or start a garden in Debbie's name—something living, rooted, and beautiful, just like she was.
